Cornhusker United Way Leadership – Roles, Responsibilities, and Values in Action


Collena Laschanzky – Executive Director

As Executive Director, Collena leads the daily operations and strategic execution of Cornhusker United Way’s mission. She is the organizational and community leader, responsible for:

  • Managing programs, partnerships, and day-to-day operations across the nine-county service area,
  • Guiding fundraising, donor relations, and public outreach,
  • Ensuring staff and volunteers are aligned with strategic goals, and
  • Acting as the primary representative and spokesperson for the organization.

Lori Moldenhauer – Chair of the Board

As Chair of the Board, Lori leads the governance structure of Cornhusker United Way. She:

  • Oversees all board functions and sets the tone for leadership and decision-making,
  • Runs board meetings and appoints board committees,
  • Ensures that the board works effectively with the Executive Director and staff to fulfill the organization’s mission.

Angela Harroun – Vice Chair & Secretary

Angela serves in a dual leadership role that strengthens both strategic support and operational excellence.

  • As Vice Chair, she supports the Chair and Executive Director in setting board agendas, assessing board performance, and leading initiatives.
  • As Secretary, she maintains accurate meeting records, ensures compliance with bylaws, and safeguards key organizational documents.

Scott Bartels – Treasurer

As Treasurer, Scott oversees the financial health of the organization. He:

  • Prepares financial reports for the board,
  • Guides budgeting, investments, and funding decisions,
  • Ensures public funds are managed responsibly and in compliance with nonprofit regulations.

  • Integrity: Scott upholds the highest ethical standards in financial reporting and decision-making.
